Default September 2008 Ride of the Month

Congratulations Damon Brock, aka Nissankat to those here at FreshAlloy. Damon picked up his 1997 Nissan 240sx just before his 16th birthday and immediately began modding it. Its gone from a enthusiatic daily driver to a capable, street legal, track car as of late. Damon says you can find him on the track, autocrossing whenever he has the time. His 240 was chosen to represent FreshAlloy as the September 2008 Ride of the Month.

You mean full on ricers with rear wings higher than the roof and neon underglow kits and roof scoops and 2 sets of foglights and aero-spaceship bodykits are not going to be considered for ROTM?

BTW, very nicely put together car. I would only add a HUGE spoiler if it were mine.

I guess I'll see you on Oct. 19th @ Roebling Rd. then. A lot of folks from JAX are coming up to play.

Any dyno #'s?

Also, what made you go with the blue for the engine accent? Or was it to match the Cusco STB?

Ever have any issues with the Ground Zero manifold? I have been using it for a little over a year but didn't ceramic coat it, just swain coated my turbine housing.

I did 345 wheel on the my last dyno run. Here is the graph sorry it is so light.

I don’t know why the blue. It has always been my favorite color though I have been told it is ricey .

I like the Ground Zero mani. I picked up about 500rpm of spool when switching from the old boost designs mani. I cut the 38mm waste gate flange off the GZ manifold and ran a larger pipe and a 44mm waste gate flange and with this setup I see no creep whatsoever. With the 38mm waste gate I saw a few psi of boost creep.

Get a little boost creep on my setup. BB Precision SC50 on the GZ mani with 38mm WG with a dump tube extending under the driver seat. Dyno'd 337rwhp with 302tq at 13psi but I'm sure I could pull better numbers without a simple JWT ECU, SAFCII setup without a boost controller. Stock internals running off the WG spring basically.

How many pounds of boost to make those numbers? I'll PM you a pic of my ride.

Not sure if this was in jest, but I would. Not HUGE, mind you, but something. I think the car's lines demand it, and he tracks the car. So unless it jeopardizes SM classing, doo eet!
